Hair
transplantation

We transplant hair from donor sites to balding parts without bandaging, stitching, or any painful sensations.

The majority of men and women notice that their hair gets significantly thinner as they age. In the past, people tried to treat baldness with alternative medicine methods or put up with this issue, but today we have hair transplantation—a quick and efficient option.

Hair transplantation is a technique which aims to restore hair thickness and correct the hairline.

Medical Club Grace uses Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant method. A donor material unit with one or more hair follicles used for hair transplantation is called a graft (a strip of skin containing hair). The surgeon uses a special tool to extract each graft separately and insert it into a new site. Transplanted grafts aren’t rejected because they’ve been taken from the same body. Transplanted hair retains its natural characteristics, such as colour, structure, growth rate and, where applicable, degree of waviness.

This is an outpatient, minimally invasive, and virtually painless procedure being performed under local anaesthesia.

All FUE surgeries have a common protocol:

• Stage 1—individual grafts are removed using a microsurgical instrument (a punch) and processed;

• Stage 2—grafts are implanted (placed) in a predetermined checkerboard pattern) with an implanter pen.

There can be more than one grafting sessions if the patient has enough own donor material (hair transplanted from one person to another will be rejected).

The transplanted follicles will begin growing hair 2 to 3 months following the procedure. The final transplantation result will be permanent and achieved in about a year.

Why should I choose hair transplantation in Medical Club Grace?

• Minimally invasive surgery
• No suturing
• Painless and comfortable procedure

• Uncomplicated recovery

• Lifetime natural result

Our approach to hair transplantation

Baldness is a curable condition. In some cases, a trichologist can prescribe efficient treatment for hair loss, e.g. diffuse alopecia or seborrheic alopecia. Even though hair growth can’t be renewed, as with cicatricial alopecia or androgenetic alopecia, the solution still exists.

At Medical Club Grace, we use the most reliable hair transplantation method which allows both performing painless surgery and achieving an optimal graft uptake result. Hair transplantation at Medical Club Grace has a guaranteed permanent effect.

Q&A

What is a graft?

A graft, or follicular unit, is a cluster of 1 to 5 hairs. We only transplant multi-hair grafts without damaging the hair, which helps achieve a better graft uptake result.

How many units can be transplanted in a single session?

The number of grafts to be transplanted in a single session varies from 500 to 3.5 thousand.

What will the donor site look like? Is there a risk of hair sparsity?

Up to 9 thousand grafts can be harvested from the donor site without creating any bald spots. This is because the doctor extracts follicles in a diffuse pattern and makes even punctures in the intervals between the remaining hairs. A special tool also extracts 1 or 2 hairs from a follicular unit consisting of 3 to 4 hairs.

How much hair from the donor site will continue to grow in the ‘new’ site?

According to the global standard, at least 90% of grafts eventually continue growing. In other words, at least 9 out of 10 grafts should survive. The transplanted hair yield should be 70—80% of the natural hair density—an average adult human head has around 300 hairs per square centimetre. This is an outpatient, minimally invasive, and virtually painless procedure being performed under local anaesthesia.

How to wash hair after transplantation?

Taking care of your hair after transplantation is extremely important. Don’t wash your hair for one day after the procedure because of the risk of infection. Besides, transplanted hair can still easily fall out from the scalp. After one day, wash your hair with a medical shampoo recommended by your doctor.
