Listen to yourself. If you don’t like your ears, you can fix this with the help of plastic surgery. We’re ready to listen closely with you.

Otoplasty is a popular ear reshaping procedure. If you’re unhappy with the shape or size of your ears, feel uncomfortable, and even experience insecurities, ear reshaping surgery will help you out. This is a safe, almost painless, and quick surgery being performed by plastic surgeons to give the ears an attractive shape or repair their developmental or post-traumatic defects.

Some can be given protruding ears, while others suffered injuries resulting from accidents. Surgery can easily remove both defects.

Such procedures were first performed in India and date back to the 5th century BC. Back then, it was a popular procedure. Since then, it has significantly upgraded, while its popularity has grown exponentially.

Modern medicine offers several techniques to fix protruding ears and other aesthetic imperfections.

At Medical Club Grace, our plastic surgeons use all of the modern techniques for aesthetic and reconstructive otoplasty.

Our experience

Before

surgery

At the first consultation, our plastic surgeon will carefully listen to all of your preferences as to how your ears will look in the future, set realistic expectations for surgery, predict its efficiency, and answer all of your questions in detail. At the preoperative evaluation, you undergo the complete body check-up and have all of the necessary tests.
During

surgery

You won’t feel anything because we perform the procedure under general anaesthesia. Our surgeon makes small incisions which then will be completely invisible. The procedure takes up to 1 hour.
After

surgery

Our surgeon will put stitches and apply a bandage you should be wearing for a week or two. It’s advisable to sleep with a bandage on for a month after surgery. You’ll spend the first day in our suite under the care of our medical staff. You need to follow all of your surgeon’s recommendations to make your recovery as efficient as possible.

Our approach to ear reshaping surgery

Your ear shape is predetermined. Some get nice and proportionate ears, while others have a special shape. Too big or too small, protruding, asymmetrical... And that’s okay if you’re comfortable with such ears. Nevertheless, go for it and undergo ear reshaping surgery when—deep inside—you’re willing to improve your auricles. Our surgeons perform both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. The procedure will help you get rid of psychological discomfort and have aesthetic ears.

Types of otoplasty

There are two types of otoplasty depending on the purpose:
• Aesthetic
• Reconstructive
Aesthetic surgery aims to correct cosmetic defects. It helps fix protruding ears, reduce the ear size, and eliminate any asymmetry. You undergo it to get closer to your aesthetic ideal, i.e. make your ears look better.
Reconstructive otoplasty helps you get rid of complex defects caused by injuries or developmental problems. It’s performed for medical reasons in case of many pathologies. Often performed in several stages, such procedures require special techniques.
Otoplasty techniques
We’ve seen the techniques for performing ear reshaping surgery changing dramatically over time. Traditional surgical otoplasty is a classic of plastic surgery. It doesn’t take a back seat and is still relevant.
We perform otoplasty to fix protruding ears in patients who reached the age of at least 6 years. Surgical otoplasty is an extremely sought-after procedure among our clients.
